The free Zonas de Acampada (official campsites) in Tenerife have been established by the Cabildo de Tenerife to allow visitors to enjoy the island's natural areas safely while protecting its unique environment.
The use of these campsites is free of charge; however, campers must comply with the applicable regulations and obtain the required camping permit before their stay.
During your stay, you must use only the campsite allocated to you and respect the dates specified in your reservation. You should always carry your reservation confirmation, either in printed or digital format, as it may be requested during inspections carried out by the authorised rangers or other supervising authorities.
All visitors are expected to respect the natural environment. Damaging vegetation or leaving litter behind is strictly prohibited. All waste must be disposed of in the designated bins. If the bins are full, you must take your rubbish away with you.
Please note that the water available at many campsite facilities is not suitable for drinking. For this reason, we recommend bringing an adequate supply of drinking water.
Small portable camping equipment, such as folding tables and camping chairs, is permitted. However, large event tents, gazebos, hammocks attached to trees, zip lines or any other structures that could affect safety or damage the natural environment are not permitted.
Particular attention should be paid to the rules regarding the use of fire. Portable barbecues are prohibited. Fires may only be used where permitted by the applicable regulations and only in areas specifically designated for that purpose. During periods of high wildfire risk, the authorities may completely prohibit the use of fire and may temporarily close campsites until further notice.
Please also be aware that campsites may be temporarily closed for reasons beyond the control of visitors. The most common reasons include:
periods of high wildfire risk;
adverse weather conditions (strong winds, heavy rainfall or extreme heat);
forestry or maintenance work;
the removal of landslides or other safety hazards;
environmental conservation and nature protection activities.
Before travelling, we strongly recommend checking the current status of your chosen campsite, together with any notices regarding closures or restrictions published by Tenerife ON and the Cabildo de Tenerife. Doing so will help you avoid unexpected issues and plan your trip with confidence.
At Easy Camp Tenerife, we specialise in camping and outdoor equipment rental, making it easy for you to enjoy Tenerife without the need to travel with your own equipment.
However, we do not manage the campsites and we are not responsible for the rules that apply to them.
All regulations, decisions regarding the opening or closure of campsites, and any restrictions resulting from weather conditions, wildfire risk or maintenance work are determined exclusively by the Cabildo de Tenerife and the public authorities responsible for managing the island's natural areas.
We encourage you to check the latest official updates before your trip. This will help ensure that your camping experience is safe, enjoyable and fully compliant with the applicable regulations.
Out of love for nature, we created Easy Camp Tenerife to showcase the true face of the island filled with forests, mountains, stars, and unforgettable moments camping with family and friends.
Easy Camp Tenerife provides camping equipment rental services only. Campsite reservations must be made independently through the Tenerife ON platform. We have no control over campsite availability, decisions made by the Cabildo de Tenerife regarding campsite closures, or any other administrative restrictions that may affect campsite access or use. Before booking your equipment, we recommend ensuring that your chosen campsite is available for your planned dates.
With Easy Camp Tenerife, you don’t just rent a tent; you gain local support and the assurance that everything will be ready for your arrival. You relax, we take care of the details.
